Jessie Gillespie

Biography

Born in 1979 Boston, MA.

"When I begin work, it is essential that I do not know the outcome of the project. Not knowing provides room for chance to intervene and to present me with the very thing I am looking for but have not defined. This practice, or praxis, of finding out what I am doing through doing it, requires working fast, ignoring rationality and pursuing things that develop on the periphery, to the right or left of intention."
